Destiny: 1 is coming to an end. Bungie just rolled out the Early Access and Open Beta for Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC players will get their hands on Destiny 2 Beta in mid-August. There are many new things players get to experience in D2 Beta, new Strike, new PvP mode, and 2 new PvP maps (Endless Vale and Midtown).
As we already know, we will be getting 2 new weapons as pre-order bonus for Destiny 2. One is Coldheart Exotic Rifle and the other is a Legendary Sword. That’s not all, players who pre-ordered Destiny 2 will also get a Kill-tracker Ghost that will track your kills in PvP and PvE. Keep in mind; this pre-order bonus is not PlayStation exclusives.
If we take a look at the release date for Destiny 1, it was September 9, 2014. The first expansion pack for D1 that was ‘The Dark Below’ was released exactly 3 months later on December 9, 2014. For Destiny 2, it’s September 6, 2017 and for its first expansion release after three months, it’s December 6, 2017.
But, every expansion release for D1 occurred on the weekly reset day that is Tuesday. Take a look:
- The Dark Below: December 9, 2014.
- House of Wolves: May 19, 2015.
- The Taken King: September 15, 2015.
- Rise of Iron: September 20, 2016.
- Osiris: December 5, 2017?
As Bungie already confirmed, reset day for Destiny 2 will be the same (Tuesday). So, it could be December 5, 2017 for the release of first expansion.
Bungie has always released new weapons when new DLC gets released. As for new Exotic Rifle ‘Coldheart’, on its promotional material, it says:
Coldheart can also be attained through gameplay starting on December 5, 2017.
This could be legit theory for the release date of first expansion pack for D2 or not! We don’t have any official announcement on this regard from Bungie themselves. What do you think about this? Will Osiris release in December? Do take a minute to let us know in comments! (Your feedback is always appreciated)
